Wild Thang
Anthony Ellison
Jane Molloy-Wolt
Monday 30th November to Friday 11th December 2020

Wild Thang is a two week capsule show of playful work by two of Northland’s finest artists. Anthony Ellison is best known for his illustration and cartoon work for major New Zealand magazines and media, such as New Zealand Listener; Jane Molloy-Wolt is a Kerikeri artist also known for her vibrant art workshops and tutorial events. Both are bold and brave in their approaches, and highly regarded in their fields (Northland pun intended!). Their work is very collectible.
As a prelude to our vibrant summer show, we are thrilled to have this exhibition of a limited number of works. All are framed or on board and will be available to take at the end of the show. Be quick, as there is no formal opening.

We move into spring with our new exhibition “Material Issues”, a rich tapestry of approaches to fibre, thread and textile.
25 Northland makers will show their work; you will see useful articles (which nevertheless carry a weight of association), as well as the symbolic, and garment-based pieces.
The gallery will be open from Wednesday to Sunday 10am to 3pm.

Open Saturday 4th July – Sunday 23rd August 2020

For the next seven weeks Village Arts presents the imaginative use of existing off-casts. The purpose may be flippant or ‘purposeful’, but it will certainly tickle the funny-bone. Opening on Saturday 4 July at 11am, and continuing until Sunday 23 August.
The gallery will be open on Thursdays to Sundays from 10am – 3pm.
Come along; be uplifted by these inspiring works.
