Our next exhibition is from two South Hokianga artists, Beverley Cox and Trish.
The work is about the reconciliation of extremes. Both aesthetic concerns and issues relevant to Aotearoa are explored.
Bev’s 2-dimensional images are worked in paint on canvas, major media for Trish are korari and kiekie. Nothing is ever completely black or white and the tones between speak volumes.

Village Arts hosts a stunning show of ceramics and painting by well known Northland master ceramist Richard Parker; New Zealand master ceramist John Parker, with connections to Northland; and Northland abstract painter Jane Molloy-Wolt.
These artists are bold in their constantly evolving ideas and the staging of their work. This is an exhibition not to be missed and it is with great pleasure that we bring these artists together in this place, facilitated by the skill of our exhibition designer, Lindsay Antrobus-Evans.

Our annual summer exhibition will open at 11 am on Saturday 16th December and run to 11 February.
This show features new paintings, prints, photography, weaving, ceramics, carving, and more, from 20 Northland artists.
We look forward to seeing you at the gallery over the summer.
