Beverley Cox & Wendy Faith

Inspired by a fascination in the process of deconstruction that the fourth season brings.

The monochromatic images of the marzipan scented Frangrant Fern⁄Mokimoko and the Hebe Specosa⁄Napuka's dead heads are a metaphor for the frailty of out natural world.

Their organic and lively presense drift across the picture frame, giving a sense of space within this Winter landscape.

Sheer Opacity

The ambiguity of transparency and opacity is that transparency does not always produce full disclosure and opacity does not always prevent it.

The body of work Sheer Opacity offers the viewer the opportunity to encode the work with meaning that has relevance to his or her self.
