Beverley Cox
With a working background in silk screening, textile design and ceramics. Cox has developed her own unique creative approach in current work.
Cox has lived and worked in Hokianga for over twenty years and draws much of her inspiration from the beautiful native and introduced flora.
Inspired by a fascination of the deconstruction and regeneration process.
The botanical images are used as a metaphor for the frail balance of our natural world, their organic and lively presence giving a brief glimpse into the passage of time.
Her exhibition, Nature’s Tapestry, which was open from 20th August to 15th September 2011, can be viewed here.
